Epic early snowfalls make for early opening

The resort has received over 160cm of snowfall over the past two weeks and storm cycles continue to drop champagne powder through the region.

The resort is opening early from Friday 4th - Sunday 6th December, 2009 and will then re-open for 7 day a week operation on Friday 11th December.

The first gondola of the season will be loading at 9:00am on Friday December 4th.  To support a local athlete and build the excitement for the games Kicking Horse will be hosting the second annual Dave Duncan First Gondola Charity Auction.  The winning bid will get the honors of the first Gondola of the season, a private BMC guide and complimentary lunch at the Award Winning Eagle’s Eye Restaurant.  This live auction will be happening in the lift line shortly before opening on Friday December 4th.
